A daily Scripture devotional — today's verse, and as far as you care to follow it.

Dig Deeper is a daily Scripture devotional app for iPhone and Android. Each morning it gives you carefully chosen Bible verses — then lets you dig beneath them into context, cross-references, history, and the original Hebrew and Greek, for unhurried, deeper time in the Word.

How it works

The deeper you go, the more you find

Start at the surface with a single verse. Then dig — through context, cross-references, and the original language — as far as the day takes you.

LAYER 01 · SURFACE

A scripture a day

Open the app to one carefully chosen passage. No feed, no noise — just today's ground to stand on.

LAYER 02 · DIG

Go beneath the words

Tap any devotional to unearth the scripture's context, cross-references, history and the Hebrew or Greek beneath the translation.

LAYER 03 · PASS IT ON

Share what you found

Turn any discovery into a beautiful card and pass it on — to a friend, a group, or your whole congregation.

Colossians 3:17 · WEB
“And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

Paul writes this from prison — yet he makes a sweeping claim about everything. Not just worship. Every word, every task, every ordinary Tuesday.

Onomati — “name / authority”

To act in someone's name meant acting as their legal proxy — like a power of attorney. Can Jesus put His stamp on what you're about to do?

How each devotional is made

Depth that didn't start with us

Every devotional is written in the tradition of the great expository preachers — Spurgeon, Matthew Henry, Edwards, Owen, Ryle, MacLaren. Not novelty, not opinion: the same patient, Christ-centered reading of the text that has fed the church for centuries, brought to a scripture each day.

Grounded in the tradition

Formed by the voices above — not invented from scratch.

Anchored to the text

The verse and the original Hebrew & Greek are Scripture, never generated.

Reviewed before it reaches you

Every devotional in our library is reviewed before publishing.

Questions

Before you start digging

Is Dig Deeper really free?+

Yes — every devotional and lesson in the app is free, always: scripture, context, cross-references, the original languages, and small-group and family lessons. We only charge for a personalized, custom experience — whether that's for you individually or a branded app for your church.

Is this written by AI?+

Modern tools do the legwork of study — gathering and cross-referencing what faithful teachers have said — but the voice is the old one. Each devotional is shaped within the expository tradition of preachers like Spurgeon, Matthew Henry and Ryle, anchored to the biblical text and its original languages, and reviewed before it's published. The aim is to put centuries of sound teaching within reach of your morning, not to replace it.

Which translations do you support?+

We currently support the World English Bible (WEB), with the original Hebrew and Greek available on every verse so you can read beneath the English. More translations will be added as they become available.

How does customization work?+

It starts with a short call about what you're after — a personalized devotional plan for yourself, or a fully branded app for your church. Then I build it around your content and goals and, for a ministry app, publish it to both stores under your name, handling the technical upkeep.

Is it available on iPhone and Android?+

Both. Dig Deeper is on the App Store and Google Play, and every custom ministry app ships to both as well.

Our mission

We believe Scripture rewards the patient. Dig Deeper exists to turn it into an invitation — to slow down, dig past the surface, and pass on what you find.

I'm one developer and believer building tools that help people spend unhurried time in the Word.

For churches & ministries

Want the deep-reading experience under your own name?

I can build your ministry its own app — on your brand, with your content — and publish it to both app stores.
